susannedyke@talktalk.net by susanne dyke [Comment posted 2009-08-24 16:55:55] I suffer from stenosis of the spine L3and 4 and wonder if this dye would make it possible to live without taking Oxycontin 10 mgr morning and night? Dumboes? by David Traver Adolphus [Comment posted 2009-07-29 09:57:00] So...they're using Dumboes in their study? Srsly? Treatment for spinal cord injury desperately needed now by Steven Brenner [Comment posted 2009-07-29 06:56:48] If brilliant blue dye works at all to reduce the after-effects of spinal cord injury (paralysis, loss of control of urine bladder and bowel sphincters, uncontrollable pain, respiratory failure), then it should be introduced immediately, even if it has potentially serious side effects, but being a food coloring, probably side effects would be minimal. Certainly patients would not mind looking blue if they could walk.
The results of spinal cord injury are absolutely catastrophic, so any delay of introduction of such a treatment would be unethical. Any necessary research should be given the highest possible priority. This probably is a situation where research and clinical usage should be carried out concurrently, since withholding a potentially lifesaving treatment from any person with a paralyzing spinal cord injury would be wrong. Thanks tinnitus by john martin [Comment posted 2009-07-29 05:56:36] any further progress on hair cell repair in tinnitus patients, the blood brain barrier section in the food dye post sounds interesting in this field, as yet i get slight relief with hearing aids to retrain the brain but nothing solid , any comments on this subject, john m Great benefits by M Dixon [Comment posted 2009-07-29 04:05:37] This research will bring great benefits to those affected. Couldn't help noticing that the rat looks abit bemused... side effects fade over time hopefully.. Comment on this blog |
